I love Designer Series Paper (DSP)! It really helps you decide what colors to use on your project. It is wonderful all by itself but it is also fun to customize and transform your DSP. It is just another technique you can use in your creative endeavors! Take a look at my video.
How easy was that?!
See how simple it was for me to give my DSP a transformation? It is just another technique you can use to make your own creations amazing.
I just can’t get over how dramatic the change is. You can also use the same technique on the Basic White Cardstock. If you have a card in mind but your not really feeling the vibe on the combination of colors make your own!
Other tools you can use
On the sample above I used the Stampin Blends but you can also use the Stampin Write Markers, Blender Pens with ink, Chalk Pastels, or Watercolor Pencils.
Below you will see two different styles of DSP in their original state.
Blender Pens
Below is the Black & White Flower DSP. I used a Blender Pen on this one. You drop one drop of ink from your refill bottle onto the lid of the corresponding ink pad or a silicone pad and pick up the color onto your blender pen. When you first color the flower it is pretty dark. The more you color the color will lighten up. So I did the outer edges of all the flowers first and then when my ink became lighter I colored inside of the flower.
Stampin Write Markers
The next DSP is the black & white stripes. I used the Stampin Write Markers. With the markers you get one shade of color. The Stampin Write Markers are very similar to the Stampin Blend markers. The only difference is the Stampin Write Markers are water based & the Stampin Blends are alcohol based.
As you can see from all the pictures above the transformation is pretty distinct. You can make any DSP to fit your style and your project. It is always fun to try new techniques. So what transformation will you be creating?
I would love to see your project using this technique. Post a comment and a picture.
